Collecting Items for National Youth Advocate Program

nyaplogoThe library will be accepting donations for the Newark office of the National Youth Advocate Program from October 12-24.

NYAP is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving foster children, families and members of the community by providing counseling, foster parent training, doctors’ visits, group therapy, along with other in-patient and out-patient services.  This fall, they are looking to gather craft or coloring supplies, new teddy bears, blankets, travel sized toiletries and journals. Blankets, teddy bears and toiletries will be given to the children as soon as they come into NYAP’s care, while the journals and craft supplies will be distributed to any child who expresses interest. Because Newark’s NYAP office serves 160+ children at any one time, these supplies run out fast!

Thank you in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Maddie Lotz by email at or by phone at 614.632.7569.
